Bagshot and Lightwater Residents - We Want To Hear From You!
Published: 15 October 2026
Bagshot and Lightwater Residents, we want to hear from you!
From April 2027, Bagshot and Lightwater will remain together under one parish council, while Windlesham will have its own parish council.
As part of the local government reorganisation, Surrey Heath Borough Council has offered the Parish Council the opportunity to take on responsibility for a range of local assets in Bagshot and Lightwater.
This consultation is therefore only for Bagshot and Lightwater residents.
What could this mean for our community? The assets being considered for transfer include:
- Grass verges and open spaces
- Two playgrounds: The Briars Community Centre in Lightwater and Albert Road in Bagshot
- Benches, litter bins and bus shelters
- Two community buildings: Bagshot Pavilion and The Briars Community Centre. Both are currently run by community organisations, and this would continue.
Your views matter!
This is an important opportunity to help shape the future of our local facilities, public spaces and community assets. We want to understand what matters most to you and hear your thoughts before decisions are made.
Live in Bagshot or Lightwater? Please take a few minutes to complete our consultation and make your voice heard.
Deadline: Sunday 29th November
