The Council

The Parish Council is an elected body in the first tier of local government. Windlesham Parish Council has 18 councillors representing Bagshot, Lightwater and Windlesham.

The duties and functions of a parish council are many and varied but fall into 3 main categories:

Representing your
local community
Delivering services
to meet local needs
Striving to improve
quality of life in the parish

Windlesham Parish Council meetings are held 6 times a year. The Village Committees meet monthly (except August and December) and all meetings are open to the public. A full schedule of meetings can be found here.  Venues will vary from meeting to meeting therefore the published agenda should always be consulted for the meeting location.

Councillors consider matters affecting the parish, planning applications and issues raised directly by local residents.
