Safety Inspection of Cemetery Memorials

As part of our rolling memorial safety programme Windlesham Parish Council will be undertaking a programme of re-testing memorials previously assessed as Priority 2 within all sections of Bagshot Cemetery on 14th and 15th September.

The purpose of the testing is to monitor memorial stability and ensure public safety. Any memorials identified as Priority 1 (unstable and presenting immediate or foreseeable risk to public safety) will be laid flat and attempts to contact the grave owner will be made.

We aim to carry out this work with minimal disruption and ask visitors to take note of warning signs and exercise caution near memorials during testing.
