Freemantle Road, Bagshot – Temporary Road Closure for Bridge Strengthening Works

Surrey County Council has advised that bridge strengthening works will be carried out on Freemantle Road, Bagshot, as part of its ongoing programme to improve local roads and pavements.

Dates and Duration

The works are scheduled to commence on Monday 13 July 2026 and are expected to last for approximately 7 weeks, subject to weather conditions.

Location of Closure

The road will be closed between:

55 metres north-east of the junction with B3029 Guildford Road, and
100 metres north-east of the junction with B3029 Guildford Road.

Nature of Closure

The closure will be in place 24 hours a day throughout the duration of the works
there will be no through access at any time

Access Arrangements

Access to properties and businesses will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Residents and visitors should speak to the on-site workforce if assistance is required

Additional Information

It is essential that the road is kept free from parked vehicles within the closure area to allow works to proceed.
All works are weather dependent and may be subject to change - please refer to on-site information boards for updates
