Join the Lighwater Traffic and Infrastructure Working Party!

JOIN THE LIGHTWATER TRAFFIC & INFRASTRUCTURE WORKING PARTY

Have your say – Help shape the future of Lightwater!

The Lightwater Village Committee of Windlesham Parish Council is inviting community-minded residents and business representatives to join a newly formed Working Party to tackle traffic and infrastructure challenges in Lightwater village.

Why are we forming this group?

Lightwater is increasingly challenged by:
• Rising traffic volumes
• Speeding and parking issues

• Proximity to the M3 and Junction 3

What will the Working Party do?

The Working Party will have an important role in identifying local issues, gathering evidence, and championing improvements to road safety, traffic flow, and sustainable infrastructure that benefit both residents and local businesses.

While many of the potential improvements fall under the responsibility of other authorities, the Working Party will focus on setting priorities and actively lobbying those bodies to deliver change over the long term.

The initiative will be led on behalf of Windlesham Parish Council by Cllr Alf Turner.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking up to:
• 2 members of community groups
• 2 members of the Lightwater business community
• Lightwater residents keen to get involved

Interested in getting involved? We’d love to hear from you!

To express your interest or request more information, please email: clerk@windleshampc.gov.uk
If you'd like to speak to someone beforehand, Cllr Alf Turner would be happy to answer any questions.
