Traffic Calming Measures Approved for Bagshot Village
Published: 12 February 2025
Windlesham Parish Council’s Bagshot Village Committee and its Traffic & Infrastructure Working Party have been actively working to enhance safety and infrastructure in Bagshot village.
Since 2023, the Committee has collaborated closely with County Councillor Richard Tear, who submitted a traffic calming proposal to Surrey County Council Highways. We are pleased to announce that the proposal has been approved.
To further this initiative, the Bagshot Committee has committed an additional £50K from Community Infrastructure Funds, bringing the total contribution to £100K. This funding will support essential infrastructure improvements designed to make Bagshot a safer place for all road users.
🚦 What’s Included in the Scheme?
✅ Traffic calming measures to enhance road safety and reduce speeding
✅ A review of the 7.5-tonne HGV weight limit to assess heavy vehicle restrictions
The design is currently being finalised, and we await further updates from Surrey Highways. We will continue to keep residents informed as more details become available.
