NOTICE: THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL, UPDOWN HILL (B386) WINDLESHAM, TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2019

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Updown Hill (B386) Windlesham which extends from its junction with Chertsey Road to its junction with Windle Close. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via Updown Hill, Thorndown Lane, Church Road, Pound Lane and Updown Hill or this route in reverse order.

This Order is required to enable Morrison AW to carry out mains installation and/or related development works. These works are anticipated to be completed within five days, between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs, during the three month period of operation of this Order which commences on 4 February 2019. The closure is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day however advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. During working hours, access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency vehicles to these properties in an emergency situation only, will be maintained under direction of a banksman. In the event that it is necessary to restrict vehicular access to and from premises at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, access may only be restricted for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period.
