Christmas Tree Recycling
Published: 30 December 2022
Surrey Heath Borough Council's popular free Christmas tree recycling scheme will be back again this festive season.
An amazing total of almost 3000 trees were collected for recycling in Surrey Heath in January 2022, helping to make the Greenspace team leader Steve smile from ear to ear!
The face of the real Christmas tree recycling scheme is hoping for an even bigger number of trees to be collected this time around – so bring your trees to one of the recycling points from 5-15 January 2023 and help #MakeSteveSmile!
Once collected, the trees will be chipped, with the woodchips used to top up paths in our beautiful parks and green spaces.
Christmas trees can also be dropped off at Community Recycling Centres.
This year Christmas tree recycling will take place between 5th January and 15th January 2023 and collection points will be set up at the following venues:
Recreation Ground (behind All Saints Church) - Lightwater | School Lane Field - Bagshot | Windmill Field - Windlesham
PLEASE NOTE: REAL CHRISTMAS TREES ONLY AND ALL DECORATIONS AND LIGHTS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE TREES PRIOR TO DROP OFF.
