Have Your Say: The Future of Local Services and Community Assets

Windlesham Parish Council is inviting residents to share their views on the possible future role of the Parish Council in managing local services and community assets. This comes as part of the wider changes taking place within local government across Surrey.

As part of this reorganisation, parish and town councils may, in the future, be offered the chance to take on greater responsibility for services and assets currently overseen by Surrey County Council or Surrey Heath Borough Council. This could help ensure that valued local facilities remain under local management and continue to serve the needs of our community.

At this stage, no decisions have been made and no specific assets have been identified for transfer.
This survey is simply an opportunity to gauge whether residents, in principle, support the idea of the Parish Council taking on more responsibility should the chance arise.
