Windlesham Parish Council is seeking residents’ views on the potential future role of the Parish Council in delivering local services and managing community assets, particularly in light of the ongoing reorganisation of local government across Surrey.
In the future, there may be opportunities for parish and town councils to assume greater responsibility for services and assets traditionally managed by Surrey County Council or Surrey Heath Borough Council, thereby ensuring these assets remain under local stewardship.
We want to emphasise that this survey is solely intended as an initial indicator of residents’ opinions. At this stage, the Parish Council has not been informed which, if any, assets may be offered for transfer.
The purpose of gathering your views is to understand, in principle, whether there is community support for the idea of retaining certain assets under local control, should such opportunities arise in the future.
We value your input and encourage all residents to take part in this important conversation
about the future of our parish.
