Annual Parish Meeting 2025 - Thank you for attending!
Published: 14 May 2025
The Annual Parish Meeting was held on Monday, 13th May 2025 at The Briars Centre in Lightwater.
The evening began with a welcome from the Chair of Windlesham Parish Council, Councillor Alf Turner, who opened the meeting and thanked residents for their attendance and ongoing engagement.
Attendees were joined by members of the local Surrey Police, who kindly took time to address residents' concerns and answer questions from the community.
A series of presentations were delivered during the meeting, including:
- A financial overview presented by the Council’s Responsible Financial Officer (RFO), who provided an update on the Council’s financial matters.
- An update on Local Government Reorganisation and the Devolution Process, delivered by Councillor Malcaus Cooper in her capacity as a Director and Vice Chair of the Surrey Association of Local Councils (SALC). The presentation outlined the potential implications of unitarisation for the parish and wider community.
Throughout the venue, informational display boards offered insight into the Parish Council’s functions, responsibilities, and ongoing projects. These resources aimed to help residents better understand the role and work of the Parish Council.
