Councillor Community Pride Grant

Windlesham Parish Council are pleased to announce that as well as capital grants and open spaces maintenance grants, Council have increased their grant budget to allow for a new type of grant – the Councillor Community Pride Grant. This year, each Councillor has £1,000 available to them to support local causes/groups and to date Councillors have supported the following:
In Bagshot
Councillor Cowlishaw supported his local community by splitting his community grant allocation between the Bagshot Big Bash and the Halloween celebrations with a contribution towards the cost of the road closures.
Councillor Manley supported the redevelopment of Bagshot centre by funding the creation of an artist’s impression of the proposed highway works.
Councillor Marston allocated his fund towards a new laptop for Bagshot library.
In Windlesham
Councillor’s Sturt and Stacey jointly supported the Windlesham Branch of the Royal British Legion to provide toilet facilities at the Tea on Field event which was held during August.
Councillor Goodman used some of his allocation to purchase bulbs, which he planted at the Windlesham gateways for the community to enjoy in the spring.
Councillor Sturt allocaetd the rest of his funds to the cost of security for the annual Pram Race.
In Lightwater
Councillor Halovsky-Yu supported an application from Lightwater Business Association to assist with costs towards the Christmas festivities.
