resolved that all Grants for the year 2024-2025, will be determined on a
quarterly basis at each meeting of the Committee  and will be subject to a maximum £3,500 per
project.

Community Infrastructure Levy FundingCommunity Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a charge on most new development within the local authority area. The money is used to pay for new infrastructure required as a result of the new development. This infrastructure can be wide-ranging, including schools, road schemes, health facilities and sports and leisure facilities.
As a Parish Council we are entitled to a proportion of the CIL monies received by the Charging Authority. The amount received depends on whether the Parish Council has an adopted Neighbourhood Plan in place. Presently, Windlesham Parish Council receives 15% of CIL charges (capped at £100 per existing council tax dwelling in the Council’s area) for new developments in Lightwater.
What can Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) be spent on?
CIL monies can be used to support the development of the local area to fund:
the provision, improvement, replacement, operation or maintenance of infrastructure; oranything else that is concerned with addressing the demands that development places on an area.“Infrastructure” includes physical, social and green infrastructure e.g. highways; cycleways; education facilities; sports and community halls; parks and play areas.
