Christmas Tree Recycling

Surrey Heath Borough Council's popular free Christmas tree recycling scheme will be back again this festive season.   

An amazing total of more than 3400 trees were collected for recycling in Surrey Heath in January 2023 via the scheme.

In the new year, residents can bring their real Christmas trees to one of the recycling points listed below, and do their bit for the local environment - and the planet!

This year Christmas tree recycling will take place between 3rd January and 21st January 2024 and collection points will be set up at the following venues:

Recreation Ground (behind All Saints Church) - Lightwater | School Lane Field - Bagshot | Windmill Field - Windlesham

Restrictions apply: Only real Christmas trees can be accepted, all decorations and lights must be removed from the trees prior to drop off.

Christmas trees can also be chopped up and placed in garden waste bins by subscribers to the Garden Waste scheme, or dropped off at local Community Recycling Centres.
